Government

The government of Sunilia is very complex, but generally follows the motto “for Sunilia to rise”.

Sunilia is ruled by the National Party, NP, under the guidance of the emperor. The NP’s Central Committee (ZK der NP) is responsible for national and international policy, while the Council of States (CoS) is responsible for happenings on a regional level. Sunilia has a high level of direct democracy in which the people decide the course of the nations through referendums, etc.

Regions have a high amount of autonomy, and their government can be different to the national government, although still in direct contact with the NP. Each region of Sunilia has a “regional administrator”, who is at the head of the regional politics.

With the decay of the Sunilian/Seabourg double nation, the political situation in Sunilia has drastically changed. Seabourg is a People’s Republic and governs itself. It is only a crown dependency of Sunilia, however the National Party of Sunilia has little control over the happenings inside their crown dependency. Nonetheless, the area that the PR Seabourg controls is counted as Sunilian territory.

The Sunilian government started international relations with other nations in November 2014. The goal is to achieve more international recognition of the nation.

In the past, there have been repeated disputes between Sunilia and separatist groups claiming Sunilia’s former African colony of Bir Tawil for themselves. This issue has since been resolved as Sunilia, serving as a role model for decolonization, decided to give up all claims for this piece of land.

Sunilia is divided into different administrative divisions.

– Bencia (capital, Linus the I.)
– Bencia Dnal (state, Konstanze of Bencia Dnal)
– Ogel (state, Justus of Ogel)
– Ober Auweia (union with Ma Greb, Helmut of Ma Greb and Ober Auweia)
– Ma Greb (state, Linus the I. and Helmut of Bencia Dnal and Ma Greb)
– Seabourg (crown dependency and part of former double nation)

 – Bir Tawil (colony, Linus the I.) – Former colony of the Sunilian Empire – claim has since been revoked in the name of decolonization.
